Kindamindi is a small 32-place long day care centre on the border of Bondi and Tamarama, in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. The centre nurtures and cares for children aged from 8 weeks up to 6 years old, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. The centre has been in operation for over 35 years and is well loved and respected in the community.
We are an independent, not-for-profit, community based centre, run as a co-operative, by a voluntary parent management Board and an employed Centre Director. The day to day running of the Centre is managed by our Centre (and Education) Director, responsible for managing all aspects of the centre’s daily operations and education programs for all children.
The parent board and committee works collaboratively with the Centre Director and a team of dedicated, experienced and passionate educators. All parents who enrol a child into the centre become members of the co-operative and are expected to have an “active” involvement in the centre community and operations.
Short visit tours are between 10-11am on the last Friday of the month only. You should email ahead (firstname.lastname@example.org) to notify us you will be coming. We do not allow for unscheduled, ad hoc visits. Our current daily fees are $102/day which includes meals. We are an approved centre for Child Care Subsidy (CCS) which may reduce your daily fees if you apply and are found to be eligible and approved by Centrelink. You must apply directly to Centrelink for CCS assessment.
